Transfers and appointments of Permanent Secretary

BY COMMAND of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) yesterday announced the transfers and appointment of four senior officers.

The permanent secretary at PMO, Muhammad Lufti Abdullah, has been transferred to the Ministry of Development (MoD) as Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance).

Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Roselan Hj Mohd Daud, Permanent Secretary (Policy) at the Ministry of Finance, has been transferred to the PMO as Permanent Secretary, and Hj Mohd Rozan Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Yunos, Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at MoD, has been transferred to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as Permanent Secretary.

Shahbudin Musa, BLNG Sdn Bhd general manager for marketing, has been appointed as Permanent Secretary (Policy), Ministry of Finance.

The changes take effect today.

Transfer & Appointment of Perm Sec & Deputy Perm Sec

By command of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) yesterday announced the reshuffle and appointment of officials at the permanent secretary and deputy permanent secretary levels.

Dato Paduka Sa Bali Abas, permanent secretary (Corporate Affairs Division and Civil Administration) at the Prime Minister's Office has been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs as permanent secretary.

Hj Mohammad 'Abdoh Dato Seri Setia Hj Abdul Salam, permanent secretary at Ministry of Home Affairs, is now the permanent secretary (Corporate Affairs Division and Civil Administration) at the Prime Minister's Office.

Hjh Suriyah Hj Umar, permanent secretary I at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, has been transferred to the Ministry of Defence as permanent secretary.

Hj Matsatejo Sokiaw, plant manager at Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas (BLNG), has been seconded and appointed as permanent secretary (Energy) at the Prime Minister's Office.

Hj Ismail Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Setia Dato Paduka Hj Hashim, deputy permanent secretary at the Prime Minister's Office has been transferred to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as deputy permanent secretary.

Abdul Mutalib Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Yusof, deputy permanent secretary (IT and E-government) at the Prime Minister's Office has been transferred to the Ministry of Communications as deputy permanent secretary.

Hj Azhar Hj Ahmad, director of E-Government National Centre, has been promoted as the deputy permanent secretary (IT and E-government) at the Prime Minister's Office.

The Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources' Director of Agriculture and Agrifood Hjh Normah Suria Hayati Pehin Jawatan Dalam Seri Maharaja Dato Seri Utama (Dr) Hj Mohd Jamil Al-Sufri has been appointed as deputy permanent secretary of the same ministry.

Md Riza Dato Paduka Hj Md Yunos, acting director of Land Transport Department at the Ministry of Communications, has been appointed as deputy permanent secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources.

Transfer of Permanent Secretaries & new appointed Deputy PS

By command of His Mejesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Prime Minister's Office announced that His Majesty has consented to the transfer and appointment of the following officers:

Yang Mulia Pengiran Dato Paduka Osman bin Pengiran Haji Patra, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office has been transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance has been transferred to the Prime Minister's Office as Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister's Office.

Yang Mulia Pengiran Abdul Haris bin Pengiran Haji Shahbudin, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs has been transferred to the Prime Minister's Office as Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister's Office

Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mahrub bin Awang Haji Murni, Director of Radio and Television Brunei has been appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister's Office.

The transfer and appointment of the officers will take effect from Friday, 5th Syawal, 1430 corresponding to September 25, 2009.

His Majesty has also consented to appoint Yang Mulia Awang Haji Hamdan bin Haji Abu Bakar, Deputy Director (Research), Internal Security Department as Acting Director of Internal Security Department to replace Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Eussoff Agaki bin Haji Ismail with effect from Friday, 5th of Syawal, 1430 corresponding to September 25, 2009.

With the above appointment, Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Eusoff Agaki bin Haji Ismail is no longer holding the post of the Director of Internal Security Department to allow him to focus fully on his duties and responsibilities as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office.
