From the Miri Daily News, 12th June 2008:
New directive on limiting selected Shell station to sell only 2,500L diesel and 3,500L of Ron 97 petrol, effective from 9th June 2008. That is equivalent to filling about 184 petrol engine cars and 131 diesel engine cars daily.

From the United Daily News, 16th June 2008:
According to the United Daily News today (pD10), the approved filling station for foreign-registered vehicles sells only 2,000 litres of RON97 petrol and 850 litres of diesel. That is equivalent to 106 petrol-engine cars (B$10 each purchase for 18.86L) and 43 diesel-engine cars (B$6 for 19.35L). There are a lot of foreigners who caught up in the shortage of fuel.

There are 15,791 people applying for the National Housing Scheme as of February 2008. The scheme is to enhance the standard of living and improving the quality of life of the people. The Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has allocated 11 new development sites to accommodate the growing list of applicants. Since the commencement of this National Housing Scheme in 1980s, a total of 8,058 citizens have been granted houses and 1,694 people granted plot of land. The current developments are Lambak Kanan, Rimba, Menteri, Meragang, Bukit Beruang (Tutong District), Kpg Pandan (Belait District), Sungai Liang / Lumut (Belait District), Lorong Tengah Tiga (Seria, Belait District) and Rataie (Temburong District).
