The Third (III) Additional Directive on fuel sales

There is a new directive just announced by the Petroleum Unit, Prime Minister's Office today, 16th June 2008:

The Third (III) Additional Directive on the Sales of of Diesel and Premium 97 for Vehicles and Vessels Not Registered in Brunei Darussalam

Effective from Thursday 19th June 2008, with the issuance of the Third (III) Additional Directives, the Second (II) Additional Directive issued on 1st October 2007 is hereby cancelled.
The new commercial price charged to vehicles and vessels not registered in Brunei Darussalam are as follows:

  • For diesel is BND 1.13 per litre; and
  • For motor gasoline premium 97 is BND 1.18 per litre
The aim of these directives is to control the sales of diesel and gasoline (which are subsidised petroleum products) whose exports are restricted under The Customs (Prohibition and Restriction on Imports and Exports) Order.
