In conjunction with the 15th celebration of Civil Service Day (2008), a Pameran Hari Perkhidmatan Awam is currently taking place at the Multipurpose Hall, International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas. The exhibition is open from 9am to 6pm, Tuesday 11th to Friday 14th November.
The theme is Food Security (Sekuriti Makanan):
Peranan agensi-agensi Perkhidmatan Awam dalam memastikan sekuriti makanan dari segi bekalan, keselamatan dan kebersihan.
It is mainly on paddy, the different types of paddy rice planted locally. The Agricultural Department has the sensory evaluation on these rice, and the public are welcome to do the evaluation, so they can determine the acceptability of the local rice.
The Ministry of Health through its Community Nutrition Services Unit have brochures and pamphlets on healthy recipes, toddler's nutrition guide. It is worth your while to visit the exhibition.
Also joining the exhibition are some local food companies and restaurants.
